Week 1
5/30: I attended REU orientation and met Dr. Larry Zhiming Xu, my research mentor. Larry gave me a tour of his lab and explained his intentions for the project. I downloaded Windows Terminal and Python 3.11 to my lab computer. I installed OpenAI's command-line interface (CLI) to use in training a fine-tuned model. I completed Unit 1 and half of Unit 2 of RCR/RECR training as mandated by the NSF.
