During the spring semester of 2017, Dr. Spiller and myself have been working on the Data Assimilation of the Lorenz '63 system. The Lorenz '63 system is three-dimensional, nonlinear system that has chaotic solutions depending on the initial conditions and values of its parameters. I first worked to solve this system, using MatLab. From there I developed a Particle Filter and a Kalman Filter to see , from the calculated solutions, created 'noisy observations' by simply adding
