We aim to determine if the adoption of the ECS program in a K-12 public school correlates to the addition of AP CS principles, and if it results in an increased enrollment in AP CS exams.

The number of students interested in CS (Computer Science) related fields is in the decline. The number of computer science jobs, on the other hand, is steadily rising. We wish to look for ways to increase K-12 student interest in CS related fields in an attempt to increase the number of students pursuing CS. In previous years, Marquette University has promoted the use of ECS (Exploring Computer Science) by hosting seminars designer to help teachers teach ECS courses.
